As certified interior decorators, we at Chic Decor always begin the design process with an initial consultation to assess the scope of the project which allows us to get to know our clients, their objectives, and their aesthetic preferences. We then integrate our creative vision and expertise with our clients' needs to create an effective interior design that is never formulaic.
We believe that successful projects are a result of clear communication between Chic Decor and the homeowner. Providing progress updates forms part of our process and is included regardless of project size. This ensures that our clients are always aware of what is happening during the implementation phase.
Our professional attention to detail ensures the successful outcome of every project, including ordering custom products and scheduling trades and services. Working with a talented group of trades people and artisans allows us to translate our design into quality solutions and products.

Margarite Oliveira - Principal
Margarite Oliveira is an award-winning Oakville based certified interior decorator who has created beautiful bespoke interiors since the company was founded in 2004.

She has received numerous Design and Customer Service Awards from HOUZZ.
Beyond all of this, Margarite has penned 15 articles for Homeworks publications due to her extensive knowledge of design and colour from her studies at the Ontario College of Art & Design (OCAD) and Sheridan College's Fine Arts program, as well as being a High Honours graduate of the Sheridan College Interior Decorating program.
Her interior designs begin with deep understanding her clients' needs, and then translating those requirements into unique, creative solutions.
Margarite spends her free time researching innovative design products, attending design industry seminars, traveling, and painting. She donates to many charities including the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, Kare for Kids, SPCA, Ontario Humane society, and the Red Cross.
Alexandra Vanessa
Alexandra is the daughter of company founder Margarite and is a certified interior decorator. She has been honing her craft of interior decorating and designing since she was a child.
This came to be formalized during her studies as she graduated with Honours from Sheridan College’s Interior Decorating program.
Alexandra’s expertise lies in creating optimal function and flow through styling and design. She assesses how homeowners interact with their spaces, then creates the most pleasureful, optimized experience for them in their daily routines from wake up to lights out.
