7 Tips To Achieve Your Designer Bathroom
Have you always wondered how to turn your mundane bathroom into a
magazine-worthy space?
We’re here to help you finally make it happen!
We’re so glad you’ve decided to take the first step in transforming your home through reading our guide because, after the last few years we’ve had, you deserve to invest in yourself and your space!
The bathroom is one of the highest-traffic areas in a home. It’s where we spend our mornings and evenings, and for those who work from home, multiple times a day.
We want this space to be as functional and beautiful as it can be. It is, after all, arguably the most important room in a home!
With all that said, here are our 7 tips for achieving
a designer bathroom.
Tip #1
Unless you have heated floors, you’re probably using mats to keep your feet warm. Aside from being a tripping hazard, they’re usually more of an eye-sore than eye candy. Switch those bath mats out for a single runner and your space will be instantly elevated.
Tip #2
Builder-grade tubs and showers typically come with a curtain rod placed at a standard height. If it’s in the cards for you, replace the rod with a gorgeous glass door. If it isn’t, raise that bar with only a few inches to spare before reaching the ceiling, and you’ll create the illusion of a taller bathroom.
Tip #3
Of course, you’ll want to purchase shower curtains that are long enough for your newly raised curtain rod. For those with a shower, purchase curtains that nearly hit the floor. For those with a shower/tub combo, you’ll want the curtain nearly hitting the floor, but the liner slightly shorter to avoid any trips and falls.
Tip #4
The rainbow of colours from different brand’s packaging has got to go! Invest in some pump bottles in a single colour (or better yet, a neutral) to sub those branded bottles out and you’ll notice a huge difference in your bathrooms look and feel.
Tip #5
The hodge-podge of items cluttering your counters is chaotic for both the function and the aesthetic of your bathroom. Reign the items in and place them on trays. Instead of numerous products strewn about, now, visually, it’s just one.
Tip #6
Adding a small end table next to your tub or shower is a sweet way to add personality to your self-care practices. Just something large enough for a small vase of fresh flowers and a candle will do the trick. Here, you can show off your style in the furniture piece!
Tip #7
Artwork! The often neglected but oh-so-darling way to spruce up your walls. Add some art pieces that speak to you and maintain a colour palette among them. Whether you love abstract, prefer still-lifes, or get a kick out of photography, the world is your oyster! Have fun with it.
